My First 3 Months At University

I’m loving my university experience, having a purpose and pushing myself into a career I want to do and that I’m passionate about makes me feel really good.

Working on things I actually care about for the most part and focusing on myself has been a super weird feeling, I can see why so many people from school and some friends have gone off to uni now to study.

It feels good, the only issue I’ve ran into is that uni/DMU maybe in particular ?seems to be very cut off at times, it’s so diverse and people are so busy or shy/anxious it’s hard to get talking to other groups outside your own class.

I think this is just 2020 in general and how society is now the last few years, just hard to mix when people are stuck in their own social circles and “safe spaces”.

Being in a smaller class doesn’t help but hopefully in September when I move onto my next subjects it’ll be a bigger class with more like minded people.

Societies seem a bit and miss, not living in halls and being an older student doesn’t always help but it doesn’t cause as many issues as I thought it would, mainly finding good groups your interested in is the problem but yeah that’s my thoughts on my first 3+ months at DMU so far, had to get that off my chest..
