Nearly 3 years after their initial reunion show back in 2019 before the impending covid-19 pandemic, My Chemical Romance invade the UK with their first performance in the United Kingdom in 10 years.

MCR visited the Eden Project in Milton Keynes this week for a sold out show with a roaring crowd. The boys in black are once again back, after years of waiting for the princes of emo rock to return fans were finally able to rejoice under the banner of eyeliner once again. Gerard Way, the lead singer said ''I hope it feels as good for you as it does for us'' when addressing the crowd on their return to England.
Yes Gerard, it DID. What a spectacular return for a band sorely missed for the last decade.

My Chem formally went on hiatus back in 2013 after finishing tours related to last album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys due to in their words feeling like the band had served its purpose. Gerard went on record to say via the bands website “Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing,”
However back in 2019 the boys announced a one off reunion gig to honour their fans at Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. A moment to see if the magic could be rekindled in a meaningful way for them personally. Unfortunately, the pandemic that shortly followed but the band felt it was time for a comeback after such a successful and emotionally night with fans. Sadly they had to wait, constantly postponing tour dates until May of this year.
After rocking the the Eden Project and blasting those emo anthems into the hearts of their fans, its true to say MCR are FINALLY back, better than ever and ready to create new memories. They even released a brand new single that debuted at the UK gig titled 'The Foundations Of Decay', their first fresh music in over 10 years.

As a fan since I was 14 myself, it brings a tear to my eyes to see one of the most creative, talented and down to earth artists return to stage.
We will indeed, Carry On!
